Stewardship
Stewardship means giving of our time, talent and treasure. Gifts of our personal resources - financial and other - help us value what God gives us and deepens our faith. All that we have is a gift from God. Making a regular offering to the chapel is a commitment to return a portion of our gifts.

Ways of Giving - A Letter from the Stewardship Committee
Greetings and peace,
Supporting St. Augustine's Chapel and its many ministries is a great pleasure and each of us can find many ways to help those ministries thrive. Often we wish to share our treasures such as material goods and financial resources with St. Augustine's because we know that this remarkable and unique center of our spiritual and religious lives depends upon this sharing to be able to fulfill its missions. There are various ways in which each of us can make a gift so that our intentions become realities. Creative ways of giving benefit the donor and St. Augustine's Chapel. The spirit of philanthropy is not measured in dollar signs, but we want to work with our donors to maximize their satisfaction with their giving as well as making sure that their generosity is put to work.
Many people think that making a gift means writing a check or putting cash into the collection baskets at church. These are simple and direct ways of providing support. Similarly, we have installed electronic methods of giving directly through our website. But, these are not the only methods of giving and, sometimes, not even the most beneficial to the donors. For example, many people have investment instruments, such as stocks and/or bonds which can be given directly to St. Augustine's, thereby transferring an asset directly to the Chapel. Many people can make gifts by adding a simple clause to their will. We are structured to receive gifts of this nature, processing them promptly and appropriately and providing the donors with documentation necessary in the preparation of income tax reports. All of this is an effort make the experience of making gifts as easy and convenient as possible. Our financial office is ready to work with you and is available for consultation at your convenience.
