Nashville Canterbury is an affirming Christian student group rooted in the Episcopal tradition. We strive to create safe space to discuss current events, sing and enjoy fellowship. We welcome everyone who is interested in being a part of a justice-loving group regardless of where you are on your journey.

August 25 - Join us for the 9:30 service at Benton Chapel on Vanderbilt’s campus, St. Augustine’s community picnic to follow! (Lunch provided)
August 31 - Overnight retreat. Our only goal is to get to know one another, eat yummy food and laugh in Sewanee, TN.
September 8 - The first of a 3-part series led by Logan Pollock on The Sabbath by Abraham Joshua Heschel. Logan says: “Do we rest so that we can work? Or do we work so that we can rest? As we launch into a new academic year and begin to mark up our daily planners, we’re excited to host a three-week discussion of Abraham J Herschel’s book, The Sabbath, as he describes the seventh day as “a realm of time where the goal is not to have but to be, not to own but to give, not to control but to share.” Join us as we learn what it means to treat Sabbath rest not just as a break between work weeks, but as an act of reconciliation with our God, our fellow neighbors, and our own bodies.”

October 10 - 6:30 Thursday Joint liturgy with UKirk In honor of National Coming Out Day. Dinner included!
October 11 - 13 - Belmont Fall Break + St. A’s Chapel Retreat
October 20 - Meeting and discussion with one of St. A’s new priests, The Rev. Francisco Garcia.
October 27 - Vanderbilt fall break, programming TBD

10AM Coffee with Susan at the Starbucks in the JAAC at Belmont
6PM - 7PM - Bible Study at the A-Frame to discuss the lectionary readings of the week. Students are invited to lead one week.
