Education for Ministry
EFM, or Education for Ministry, is a program of theological education for laypeople. It is based on the belief that all baptized Christians are called to ministry, and that ministry happens every day, in all sorts of situations and interactions, whether you set out to do ministry or not. Its purpose is to ground us in the stories of the people of God and in scripture; to understand how our own stories continue theirs; to ask theological questions and look at how our lives and our culture and what we've been taught in the church influence our answers. It is made up of small groups of 6-12 people who meet weekly September through May.
