Justice Salon: Igniting an Active, Living Faith

Friends, as summer winds down and we prepare for the fall, we will gather to continue equipping ourselves for the putting our faith into action -- for a lively, tenacious life of sacred resistance. We will follow-up on the themes raised during our Voices Rising: Lifting Up Racial Justice benefit, and share avenues for concrete engagement with the organizations represented and related racial, economic, and immigrant justice issues. Join us virtually on the evening of Thursday, August 20, at 7PM!
Please RSVP to this Evite, invite someone else you think wants to join our effort!
Questions? Contact the Rev. Francisco Garcia, fgarcia608@gmail.com.

What does it profit, my people, if someone says that they have faith but does not have works? Can faith save them? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead." -- James 2:14-26
