The Justice Salon is a ministry of St. Augustine's Chapel dedicated to putting our faith into action around the primary areas of immigrant and refugee rights, racial and economic justice, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and environmental-ecological justice. We engage in this work through a process of education, reflection and action, engaging in collaborative efforts with many partners. Learn more about our current initiatives below! Contact Tandy Solomon if you want to be added to the Justice Salon email list, justicesalon@staugustineschapel.org.

plug in with the Justice Salon and community partners and put your faith into action!

Lately, the Justice Salon has put on a nonviolent organizing training, supported LGBTQI+ teens through meals at Launchpad, organized at the State Capital, participated in the Music City Iftar, and joined national protests like Hands Off. We are dedicated to being people of faith in the public sphere who believe that love heals.

Food & Faith
What does food have to do with our faith in the context of land, hunger and farmers? Kate Fields and the Food and Faith Collective invites you to a Food and Faith conversation on Saturday, November 15th from 8:30am to 2:30pm CST at Westminster Presbyterian Church (3900 West End Ave, Nashville, TN 37205). Those who attend will hear from a number of speakers involved with organizations like the Nashville Food Project, the Society of St. Andrew, and A Rocha USA. We will eat and learn together on topics like orchards, community gardening, habitat restoration, and local volunteering and explore ways in which people of faith and the buildings they worship in can be instrumental in shifting the local food system in Nashville.

The Welcome Garden welcomes you!
The Welcome Garden is a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm started in 2023 on the land of Doug and Anne Hardin in Goodlettsville, in collaboration with the Center for Contemplative Justice and the St A’s Justice Salon community.  Our desire is twofold; to grow local, organic produce for our community which stewards the land well and extend a place of welcome and part time employment to our newest neighbors in Nashville. Contact Anne Hardin or Tina Tsui with questions. thewelcomegardentn@gmail.com
