Make your own ashes.
1. Something to burn (old palms, paper, anything safe to burn)
2. Sieve (or anything that works)
3. Oil (Olive, healing oils, or whatever you have)
Sift what you have burned through a sieve to break up any clumps. Stir the filtered ashes with some oil. Voila! You have ashes to use at home for Ash Wednesday.
