On Thursday, September 18, we’ll gather at the Belcourt Theatre for a first look at The Remnant Project, a textile history created by women survivors from around the globe who have overcome sexual violence and exploitation. Thistle Farms' Founder and President, Becca Stevens, will share remarks about the project and the stories behind the quilt.
Afterward, Thistle Farms will host a special screening of the film Attention Must Be Paid: Women Lost in the Opioid Crisis, a documentary that sheds light on the opioid epidemic and its impact on women and families across the U.S.
After the film, stay for a panel discussion moderated by Thistle Farms CEO Tasha Kennard, featuring leaders from local recovery organizations who work in this space each day.
Together, the Remnant Project and Attention Must Be Paid spotlight both the root causes and long-term consequences of addiction, and the strength it takes to recover. Join us in bearing witness to the stories of survivors, and learn more about how to support programs like Thistle Farms.
