Savannah Locke will be sharing about what Jesus might have meant by “being his witnesses” (Acts) and how we might re-think that as paying attention to God's activity in our lives and naming it in others vs. feeling pressure to have the answers and convert people. She'll then lead us in a magical writing exercise!
Savannah will be leading us and she has a new book coming out! Savannah and her husband Todd are a part of our St. A's community and Savannah teaches children's Sunday School! Savannah is a writer, musician, and creative producer whose work weaves together theology, storytelling, and cultural critique.
She produced All the Buried Women, a podcast miniseries uncovering women’s stories hidden in the Southern Baptist Convention archives, which she co-hosted with bestselling author Dr. Beth Allison Barr. Y'all if you haven't heard this podcast, if you have come from the evangelical church, please give it a listen. It was on the top 10 Apple Podcast lists for a number of weeks.
Savannah also cohosts The Subtext podcast with Dr. Lee C. Camp, exploring the intersections of faith, ethics, and everyday life. She has a master’s degree in Anabaptist Studies and remains a lifelong student of theology.
